Welcome to Breath of the Lotus!

Hello! I am so excited to have you here! My name is Shawn and I love to breathe, meditate, practice yoga, chant mantras, and send energy to anyone who wants it! I am an RYT-200, a certified meditation teacher and reiki master. I love to teach, talk, share my thoughts, feelings or whatever else you might need to carry you along on your journey. I can show you how to carry your own energy upwards and create a more positive atmosphere for yourself and those around you. Everything starts with just a breath.

I created this site to be my central location for anyone who wishes to be a better version of the person they already are. I teach workshops, guided group meditations, and organize reiki shares. I share thoughts and ideas through blogs that will hopefully resonate with you weekly. The point here is I love to share in all I have learned, and all I continue to learn everyday. So, maybe you stumbled in here, maybe you found a business card, maybe you’re a friend, maybe you’re family but the important thing is you were guided here for a reason…so welcome! 

Meditation has been around for thousands of years. It has been scientifically proven to help with stress, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, inflammation, depression, panic disorders, substance abuse, immunity, etc. It enhances your focus, mental clarity, creativity, mood, cognitive skills, memory, etc. The list can go on forever!

So why aren’t you meditating?!

Children’s minds are reshaping and growing daily, and while their practice needs to be a little different than an adults, research has shown children truly benefit from a daily practice of meditation.

The higher up the corporate ladder the more stress, the more anxiety, the more pressure. Meditation allows the ego to fall away and allows a better understanding of what’s truly important. I teach techniques that can make for a more productive day and happier employees!

Do you lose keys? Forget your wallet? Walk into a room and forget why you walked into that room in the first place? These are all signs of being un-grounded and a sign to slow down. Fortunately, all of this can be fixed. Just 10-20 minutes of meditation a day can significantly improve EVERY aspect of your life.
